East Asia Minerals Announces Change in Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Tuesday, May 3, 2011 -- East Asia Minerals Corporation (TSXV-EAS) announces the appointment of Greg Clark as a director of the Company. Mr. Clark is the Chief Executive Officer of Mincom Pty. Ltd., a world leader in software and services for the mining sector. He brings over 23 years' experience in advanced logistics, supply chain management, security, online operations, and enterprise-scale applications. During his career, Mr. Clark has successfully grown two start-up tech companies into significant global brands.

Prior to his appointment at Mincom, Mr. Clark was President and Chief Executive Officer of E2open, a leader in ERP-agnostic global supply chain applications. During his tenure, Greg took E2open from an early start-up into a market-leading solutions provider supporting over 15,000 international customers.

Greg was an IBM Distinguished Engineer and Vice President at IBM's Tivoli Systems, Inc., where was instrumental in defining and selling IBM security and management products. Before joining IBM, he founded the security software firm, Dascom, Inc., and led the acquisition of the company by IBM Corporation in 1999. He has previously held senior roles with international IT companies, AT&T UNIX System Laboratories and Stallion Technologies.
